Dee Davey has lived in Mansfield for twenty-seven years. She has always been an active member in the community. "I believe everyone should get involved in their community. When people come together as a community, they can accomplish anything," says Dee.
Dee encourages all of her agents and staff to become involved in various organizations of the community.
Dee has served in many capacities over the years. She has served as President of the Women's Division of the Chamber of Commerce, has been an active member of the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce for 20 years and served as Chairman of the Board in 2000. Dee also served on the Board of Directors for the Main Street Theater, Library Board, Mansfield Historical Society, and Planning and Zoning. Dee wrote, produced and directed Mansfield's first cable television programming.
Dee is currently involved in the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce, Women's Division of the Chamber of Commerce, Mansfield Rotary Club, Board of Directors member for Mansfield Cares (an organization to assist the needy of the community), Board of Directors of MISD Education Foundation (an organization designed to recognize teachers for their innovative education of students) and Toastmasters International.
Having been a member of Toastmasters International Dee wanted others in her community to have an opportunity to become better speakers. In January 2001 Dee was instrumental in organizing the "Wake Up Mansfield Toastmasters Club". Since it's inception seven members have received their CTM (Competent Toastmaster) designation. "I am so glad that Dee got me started in the club. Now when I speak to a group of people, or one on one with a client, I am more confident and sure of myself," said one club member.
I have been blessed with success in this community and I feel that it is very important that I give back to those who have helped me along the way.
